China Silver Panda

The Chinese Silver Panda coins are legal tender. The design on the obverse is the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The reverse shows a panda, and the design changes every year. The early years Silver Panda are smaller in size and are not 0.999 fine. The first full 1oz 999 Silver Panda was issued in 1989.
The Chinese characters on the coin: 元 means Yuan, the Chinese currency. 中华人民共和国 means the People’s Republic of China
